Wiki Community Labeler for the Atmosphere¶
Project documentation is a work in progress
The homepage alongside the rest of the docs is being writen by hand to avoid the allegations of publishing "AI slop from hell", even when it's edited with assistance from AI tools.
An experimental labeler and verification service for the wider wiki community, not just on the Wikimedia community.
Scroll down to learn more about the project and its background, who we are and the systems underneat the service.
Why this exist?¶
The project exist because we want to easily identify wiki and documentation projects alongside
those who run and maintain them (wiki admins, moderators and infra teams) and build the software
behind these wiki softwares (i.e. MediaWiki, Wiki.js, etc.) in the Atmosphere ecosystem using
[existing labeling tooling at protocol level] for those who subscribe into the mod service and
issuing verification records (aka the app.bsky.graph.verification lexicon) for those who choose
this labeler as their trusted verifier in alternative Bluesky clients like [Witchsky] and, in the
future, alternative Bluesky AppViews like Eurosky's Mu Social and other Atmospheric applications
that might support the same (or develop similar) verification lexicons.
Planned backend architecture¶
Our primary planned architecture for running this is a Ozone instance running as a container within [Toolforge] with a Trove-only Cloud VPS project for its backing Postgres database alongside a TypeScript-based code for the self-serve labeling and verification flows (alongside the opt-out and removal requests).
About Recap Time Squad and Community Lorebooks¶
Recap Time Squad (@recaptime.dev) is a open-source umbrella organization
primarily led by its founder and lead developer/BDFL, Andrei Jiroh Halili
([@andreijiroh.dev][tngl-ajh]). We exist in the wider wiki community (and not as a
Wikimedia-affilated organization) through the Community Lorebooks project, where it resides our
.wiki TLD-based subdomain service for digital gardens and community wikis alongside our home for
wiki and docs related projects.
